ABOUT ME
As a trained fine artist, I have exhibited in London and across Kent after studying Fine Art and Painting at Goldsmiths and at Maidstone School of Art.
My goal is to produce artwork with integrity and skill, whether it be a contemporary life drawing, a traditional landscape, or a whimsical still life. Inspired by nature, human form and circumstance, I aim to capture a unique essence and story with each piece. I create from life, observe with passion and skilfully craft my work to portray my personal interpretation of the subject matter.
Seen here, the timeless beauty of the spring flowering ornamental Cherry, with rich colours, so vibrant and other worldly, to me it represents so much about hope and rebirth. I like to work freely, constantly observing the colours in nature and the fresh spontaneous movement of a living day, which changes moment by moment. I record this in my paintings expressively with colour and composition, with the intention to represent a moment in time that can be witnessed forever, rather like a window onto a beautiful place, where the imagination is free to wander.
