All the animals I paint are animals that have shared my life with, or have met in person, known and observed. Like people, they have their own unique personality. Animals have a powerful symbolic power in art. How they are painted describes our relationship with them and what they mean to us, whether it be spiritual, admired, in awe of, or the deep love of a family friend.  Animals are our mirror, they will reflect to us the good and bad.
